Chicken or Beef Dog Biscuits Recipe
My Lexi Lou loved these. They have about a 3 month shelf life when using silica gel packs.
Chef Janie’s Chicken or Beef Dog Biscuits Recipe:
3/4 to 1 cup rolled oats, turned to near powder in blender
1 cup boiled chicken or beef broth
1/4 box of corn muffin mix (I use jiffy)
Let that sit for 5 minutes
Add two large eggs
Mix 30 seconds more
Stir in another 1/2 cup of chicken or beef bullion
Stir 30 seconds more
2 tsps brown sugar (optional)
1/2 tsp mollasses
1/8 cup peanut butter
11/2 cups flour (any kind)
Add 1/2 cup sweet rice flour
1/2 sweet potato flour
2 Tbs potato flour
1/2 cup mild cheddar cheese is optional
This should form a nice play-dough type consistency. Just add enough flour to make it that way.
Roll out to 1/4″ thick or so and put on lightly greased cookie sheet. Cut out in dog bone shapes or other. Bake at 370* to 375* for 12 minutes. Shut off oven and let sit in oven for 2 hours. Store in a cool dry place for up to 2 months.
